About CELISUP

Career, Education and Life Support Project (CELISUP) is a Youth Development Organisation that was founded on the 12th November 1999 in Sedibeng (former Vaal Triangle), Gauteng Province, South Africa.

Young people need to be equipped with adequate information; knowledge; skills and values in order to successfully deal with the challenges of life. It is for this reason that CELISUP was conceived.

It is our belief at CELISUP that Youth Development MUST be implemented in a manner that is meaningful and that makes the Youth valuable and effective members of their communities.

CELISUP's areas of focus, as the name states, are:

CELISUP's Achievements

Organising and facilitating a successful annual Speech Contest and General Knowledge Challenge in Sedibeng region since 2010. This annual public speaking event has resulted in participants (learners) being awarded bursaries for their high school education.
Conducted workshops on career guidance and life-skills in several schools and churches in Gauteng, Free-State and Limpopo.
Our members have been invited and a still invited to speak on youth specific issues (careers, relationships, inspiration, etc) at schools, churches and other organisations.
CELISUP has taken part in the broader youth development sector by making contributions on youth issues.

MISSION STATEMENT

CELISUP seeks to capacitate the Youth to meaningfully participate in the creation of healthy communities through training in career guidance; educational matters; life-skills and economic affairs.

OBJECTIVES

To train and develop the Youth to be responsible; efficient and effective community members.
To empower the Youth with knowledge through inspiration to pursue academia and providing career guidance for modern economic and technological conditions.
To cultivate a Youth Development culture by supporting and promoting Youth development ideas.
To work together with other structures involved in Youth Development so as to contribute fully to sustainable integrated Youth Development.
